Everything the religious right wing is against, I am for! (Well, almost everything.)

I'm for gay rights, women's rights (including abortion rights), church-state separation, and the rights of nonmainstream religions and subcultures. I oppose "Satanic panic" and keep an eye out for same.

And I'm a theistic Satanist.

I've been a Satanist since 1991 C.E. I was brought up Christian, rejected Christianity at the age of 15, was then a de facto atheist until my late twenties, at which point I became a Goddess-oriented modern Pagan for several years. I then became a theistic Satanist due to a series of totally unexpected, overwhelming spiritual experiences which I won't even try to put into words.

In the early-to-mid 1990's, I had a column in an occult zine Abrasax.

Since late 2002 I've had a website on Theistic Satanism, which now includes the following:

I also run some local in-person groups that meet here in New York City:

NYARBB is a political group opposing the religious right wing. It will defend gay rights, women's rights, and the rights of nonmainstream religions and subcultures. It will also oppose anti-Illuminism (the "Illuminati" conspiracy theory, which is to Satanists, occultists, Pagans, etc. as the Protocols of the Elders of Zion is to Jews). In addition to opposing the Christian right wing, it will also oppose Islamism, while also opposing bigotry against both Muslims and Jews. As part of our opposition to bigotry against Muslims, we oppose the U.S. government's policies of aggressive war against Muslim countries, and related war crimes such as torture. NYARBB has a blog on WordPress.com.

I also have a personal blog on WordPress.com and a blog for theistic Satanists on Google/Blogspot, as well as this blog here on LiveJournal.

As of April 2008, my Google/Blogspot blog will specialize in matters of interest to theistic Satanists, whereas both my WordPress blog and my LiveJournal blog will cover a broader range of topics. Ad of May 2008, the division of labor between my WordPress blog and my LiveJournal blog will be as follows: Each blog will be used for commentary on other people's posts on the same blog host site. Otherwise, I'll put relatively lengthy original commentary on WordPress, whereas I'll put collections of news items with very brief commentary here on LiveJournal.

My online activities are very intermittent, due to a hectic work schedule. I sometimes neglect my blogs for months at at time. If I do not promptly approve or respond to a comment you posted on one of my blogs, you may call my attention to it via Noelle, co-administrator of the Church of Azazel, via the Church of Azazel's Myspace page, which is run by Noelle.

If you would like to post a general comment, not in reply to any specific post here, please post it underneath the post titled General feedback thread. I'll be notified about it via email.
